The Challenge

Our client wanted to create a comfortable, stylish garden room that would allow him to relax while staying connected with his young children as they played outside. The design needed to provide clear views of the garden and entranceway, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics. Additionally, the structure had to be low-maintenance and adaptable for future interior upgrades.

The Solution

We built a 5m x 3m garden room positioned strategically at one end of the garden, offering uninterrupted views of the outdoor space. The design focused on maximizing natural light, integrating future-proof features, and ensuring durability.

Key Features

Panoramic Garden Views. Large anthracite UPVC doors and windows were installed at the front, providing a bright, open feel while allowing the client to watch over the garden as the children played.  

Side Window for Extra Visibility. A side-facing PVC window was added, giving the client a clear view of the garden entrance, perfect for keeping an eye on visitors arriving or leaving.  

Low-Maintenance & Durable Roofing. An EPDM rubber roof ensures long-term protection from the elements, eliminating the need for felt maintenance.  

Future-Ready Interior. The structure was built in a way that allows the client to install insulation and board the inside at a later stage, making it adaptable to different uses over time.  

Stylish & Functional Canopy Overhang. The front roof extends to create a canopy with an overhang, designed to accommodate future downlighter installations, adding both practicality and a sleek aesthetic.  

The Result

The client now has a tranquil, well-lit garden room that serves as the perfect space to unwind while staying connected to family activities. With stunning views, modern design, and future expansion options, this project highlights how a well-planned garden structure can enhance both leisure and functionality in a family-friendly outdoor space.
